Understanding CPU Bottlenecks

Is your expensive GPU being held back by an old processor? Learn how to identify and fix bottlenecks.

A bottleneck occurs when one component in your PC is significantly slower than the others. In gaming, this usually manifests as low GPU usage (under 95%) while your CPU is pegged at 100% or has one core maxed out. To fix this, you must either increase graphical settings to move the load to the GPU, or upgrade the CPU. Our analyzer helps you identify this exactly by comparing your current hardware scores.
